I am an artist, a musician and a visionary creative thinker. My name is Shaun William Kerr and I am a classical narrative oil painter, born in Dundee, Scotland living in Texas, USA.

Blending the gap between Fine Art, Contemporary Classicism and Fantasy my Narrative Realism oil paintings are steeped in historical cultures, nature’s beauty, Celtic mythology and sublime backgrounds; ethereal and sensual themes combine with intricate details and portions of symbolism and life’s own enrichment; an alluring dramatic sense of mystery and beauty unfold engaging the audience with ambiguous titles to perceive the allegory on a personal level.

Exhibiting in the Jam Gallery, Dundee 2007 and since 2009 successfully selling prints and originals of my work through the Scottish Contemporary Art Auctions in Glasgow and privately around the world.

Acknowledging the immense visionary talents of the Great Victorian Masters such as John William Waterhouse, Sir Lawrence Alma Tadema, Herbert Draper, J.A.Grimshaw to modern day Illustrators and Artists such as Donato Giancola, James Gurney, Michael Parkes and Dean Morrisey, to mention but a few. Over the years my influential list increases daily without fail and consequently each new artist I discover fuels my passion and pushes me to expand my own skills.

Commission

I will be happy to discuss your commission concept prior to beginning work. This discussion will help us confirm that we have a concept which can be realized into a work of art suitable to my style of work.

Once satisfied the concept is a good match for my working style, we can start creating art. A down payment of 50% is due before beginning work. For larger works, a small scale study might be required.

From study to actual painting, slight modifications may be needed but if changes are extensive then an additional study might be required of which, additional charges will apply.
